The brand-new 2023 Chevy Cheyenne could arrive in the fall this year. There were finally some renderings of the new truck that we could see for the first time! A few years ago, General Motors tried to get a patent on the name “Cheyenne.” A lot of people have talked about this model since then, but it never happened.
During the North American International Auto Show in 2003, the first-ever concept for the Cheyenne was shown for the first time. During the time that it was made, it was one of the best pickups that was out there. Unfortunately, this model was never built, but according to numerous reports, production should begin soon.
Chevy Cheyenne Looks Familiar
The first drawings have given us an idea of how the 2023 Chevy Cheyenne might actually look. Styling is lovely, we agree. This is a lot different from anything else. The Cheyenne model, like the Silverado truck, has a big grille and LED headlights that are extremely modern and upright.
There are white stripes on the model that was drawn, which aren’t very common on today’s pickup trucks. This is the strangest thing about the model, though. Other than that, the new Silverado has the same rear fascia with modern taillights, and everything else is the very much same. This means the Cheyenne model won’t be so unique, but it will have unique stripes, colors, and optional packages.
Interior Speculations
The cabin design is not available right now, even though we’ve seen pictures of how the exterior design looks. General Motors may make it look like the Silverado truck or even GMC Sierra. In general, we think the 2023 Chevy Cheyenne will look a lot like the existing lineup of trucks made by General Motors.
You can get a big 13.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. However, we don’t know if those features will be optional or standard. Some of the more expensive models made by this company have leather seats, a nice wood trim, and a high-quality Bose audio system. Finally, the “Super Cruise” system should be available, but only in the most expensive trim levels.
Powertrain Options
The 2023 Chevy Cheyenne will borrow an engine from the current Silverado 1500 truck. This comes as no surprise, although the Silverado model is going electric in the near future. Most people think the Cheyenne model will have a 6.2-liter V8 engine. This potent engine develops up to 420 hp and 450 lb-ft of torque. Another option is a smaller displacement that can make as much as 310 hp. A 3.5-liter V6 has 355 horsepower, but there is also a 5.3-liter V8 with even more power.
It’s also possible that the new Silverado will have a diesel engine, but it’s not certain. Diesel power comes from a 3.0-liter turbo-six that makes 277 horsepower. Indeed, Chevrolet could surprise us with a hybrid powertrain, but this is not so likely. Moreover, an all-electric variant won’t happen anytime soon.
2023 Chevy Cheyenne Price and Release Date
As for the price, the upcoming 2023 Chevy Cheyenne will reportedly cost $40,000 or slightly below that. We don’t know much about this truck yet, although you can find a lot of rumors. The sales will begin later in 2022 or in the first quarter of 2023. More details will become available in the coming months.
