After months of speculations, the new 2024 Chevrolet Montana is officially on the way. Moreover, we know a lot about this small pickup, including its upgrades. According to the automaker, the Montana model will remain a compact pickup truck and it will combine utility and comfort. Furthermore, expect a respectable level of versatility. The Chevrolet Montana is a small pickup truck that was sold in Latin America and other global markets.
The Montana had a relatively basic design, with a boxy body and a simple interior. It was primarily intended for use as a work vehicle, and it was offered in a range of trims, including a base model and higher-end versions with more features and amenities. The Montana was discontinued in some markets in the late 2010s, but it continues to be sold in certain regions, especially in South America.
How Does It Look?
The upcoming 2024 Chevrolet Montana will ride on an extended version of the GEM architecture. This model will continue to combine Chevy’s global design language with a crew cab configuration. The design is based on the Chevy Blazer SUV, especially the front end. Moreover, the Montana model has raised cargo bed, unique lines, black plastic cladding, and much more.
The upper trim levels will have standard roof rails and a sports bar. New model will offer a Multi-Flex cargo bed and it will have 30.9 cubic feet of space. Chevy will add a tonneau cover as well. As we said, Montana will represent a cool combination of utility and comfort. It already looks modern, and it will look even better after the most recent facelift.
Chevrolet Montana Interior Review
Currently, the largest uncertainty surrounds the interior of the 2024 Chevrolet Montana. The cabin layout will most likely remain. Chevrolet won’t be releasing a completely new interior, and Montana will likely use many components from previous models. However, Montana won’t provide as much comfort as a Silverado 1500 truck.
Nevertheless, it will have an upright interior with good passenger space and a few fresh high-tech amenities. Although we do not yet know if it is the only cab option provided, the crew cab setup will be available. Chevrolet has additional information to share with us, including a list of equipment, a version of the infotainment system, standard and optional screens, and more.
What About Performances?
The next 2024 Chevrolet Montana will come with a standard 1.2-liter engine. It is a custom-calibrated and turbocharged gasoline engine with 133 horsepower. On top of that, it provides 155 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed manual gearbox and six-speed automatic transmissions are on offer once again. In South America, Montana is popular because of for good acceleration and impressive fuel efficiency.
Unfortunately, this model will reportedly offer a front-wheel-drive system only. The speculations are writing about a new hybrid system, which will develop 250 hp and almost 300 lb-ft of torque. This is just one of the rumors, so things are far from official.
2024 Chevrolet Montana Price and Release Date
The price of the 2024 Chevrolet Montana will start at $20,000, more or less. New trim levels are not expected, so the range-topping variant will cost around $35,000. The upcoming Montana pickup will be manufactured in the GM Sao Caetano plant and it will arrive in Brazil this summer.
