The upcoming 2024 Volkswagen Amarok, another mid-size pickup, is ready to go on sale. Even though the German company isn’t well known for its pickups, the Amarok is actually quite popular. This mid-size truck does a lot of things well, which may be a result of their collaboration with Ford.

It’s excellent that the Ranger served as the source of many parts and creative ideas. The interior will be largely affected by this redesign; the exterior may also receive some minor changes. The powertrain, though, might come with some unexpected features. Let’s take a look at the new Volkswagen Amarok.

Engine Specs

As we said, the 2024 Volkswagen Amarok will have a lot in common with Ford Ranger. Both models are mid-size trucks with similar dimensions. Moreover, they have the same underpinnings. In some parts of the world, Amarok offers a 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine with 180 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. Optionally, there is a larger 3.0-liter V6 turbocharged gas engine with 204 horsepower. Some rumors are suggesting a hybrid powertrain, although this is not official yet.

There is also a 2.3-liter turbo-four engine. This engine is capable of producing 270 horses and a torque of 310 lb-ft. We don’t know if the six-speed manual transmission will remain, but a 10-speed automatic gearbox will be on offer for sure. Volkswagen is yet to announce more details, so we should know the engine lineup in the coming months.

Exterior Facelift

There won’t be many cosmetic changes made to the 2024 Volkswagen Amarok. The plainly stolen recipe from the Ranger is visible. This explains why the design is attractive and the appearance is very assertive. It’s admirable that your ride height enables you to sail over off-road hazards.

There are large 19-inch lightweight wheels that are shod with enormous all-terrain tires. Standard in size, the cargo bed has a unique tailgate with various features. The aggressive-looking front fascia features a stronger bumper with hook and winch add-ons.

German manufacturer knows how to build upright cabin. There shouldn’t be an exemption for the 2024 Volkswagen Amarok. Five passengers may fit comfortably, and there is plenty of legroom. There is a sunroof that can be opened by pushing a button. Standard infotainment is available with excellent connectivity. The touchscreen measures 12 inches.

We saw that many mid-size pickups opted for a high-end music system and various standard safety aids. Additionally, an all-digital dashboard is likely to be introduced. This is a smart move forward that makes it simpler to track down information. We expect to see a couple of interesting interior updates, but the overall cabin layout will remain intact.

2024 Volkswagen Amarok Price and Release Date

Right now, the official price of the 2024 Volkswagen Amarok is not available. However, this mid-size truck will cost around $25,000. Some reports are predicting a significant price increase. On the other hand, changes are far from significant, so we doubt it. The sales will begin next fall, so stay tuned for further info regarding the Amarok pickup truck.

More improvements will be made to the upcoming 2023 VW Amarok. This model is based on the Ford Ranger mid-size truck. Much information will be exchanged between the two manufacturers, which is a good thing. Following the first teaser image of the Amarok pickup, Volkswagen has published the second. As you may be aware, Volkswagen just introduced the new-generation Amarok.

This model is now complete and ready for future development. The Amarok truck is expected to make its way to the United States, according to reports. On top of that, the Amarok will continue its journey in Australia as well. The sales will begin in late 2022 or early 2023.

2023 Amarok Spy Shots

Spy images taken at Ford’s Dearborn, Michigan, test track reveal a new Ranger-sized pickup truck testing with certain Volkswagen features, such as the lighting system. The 2023 VW Amarok will share a lot of things with the Ranger model. However, the head and taillights on this truck appear to be different from those on the forthcoming Ranger. In contrast to the Ford, these headlights appear to have horizontal DRLs that resemble Volkswagen ones.

The taillights are likewise different from the more complex double-bump ones found on the Ranger. Higher fog lights also hint at the nature of this truck’s logo. From what we saw, the new Amarok won’t suffer a complete exterior redesign. However, cosmetic upgrades are significant and a new model will look better as a result.

New Engine Under the Hood

The powertrain lineup has yet to be revealed by Volkswagen. The German truck, on the other hand, will be powered by Ford’s turbo-diesel V6 engine. The engine is most likely a 3.0-liter Power Stroke V6. This V6 diesel engine might suffer some tweaks to meet the specifications of the 2023 VW Amarok. There have been no official specs provided as of yet. Aside from the new chassis, new engine, better 4WD system, and 10-speed automatic gearbox, it’s unclear what other Ford components will be used in the upcoming Amarok.

We expect a larger touchscreen and maybe a new version of the infotainment system. While the T7 Ford Ranger will be a plug-in hybrid in some areas, the Volkswagen will not be electrified when it arrives in the United States in 2023. The current Amarok deploys a reliable 2.0-liter engine that generates 160 horsepower and 220 lb-ft of torque. The new engine will undoubtedly be considerably more powerful. As an option, a 3.6-liter V6 engine with 275 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of twists is available.

2023 VW Amarok Price, Release Date

The forthcoming 2023 VW Amarok will firstly go on sale in Europe, then in the Australia, and lastly, in the United States in 2023. According to the German manufacturer, sales will begin later this year or in the first quarter of 2023. Volkswagen has yet to release price information but will do so shortly. In any case, the pricing will begin at $35,000 and rise from there. Australia continues to be the world’s largest market for Volkswagen Amarok. In any event, the German company will provide more details closer to the official debut date.

Despite Volkswagen unveiling the concept two years ago, the 2022 VW Tarok is still just speculation. The most recent leaks, on the other hand, obviously point to the brand-new Tarok pickup truck. Originally, this model was intended for South American dealerships. Now, the story is a bit different since the Tarok pickup could also make an appearance in the US.

This makes perfect sense considering Volkswagen’s trust in the Tarok pickup’s potential popularity. The pickup truck demand is growing, and the small pickup truck segment is on fire at the moment. The Amarok model is already on the market, and the Atlas Tanoak will be available soon as well.

2022 VW Tarok design

2022 Tarok Design

Currently, much of the information comes from the concept, so the 2022 VW Tarok remains a mystery. Volkswagen seems to be sticking with the well-known MQB architecture. As a result, Tarok will come standard with a front-wheel-drive setup. The Tarok pickup truck will be 197 inches long when it arrives, much like the original concept. The design seems to be very promising and modern.

Volkswagen simply intends to produce a truck that stays true to its roots. It’s a recognizable design language, and models such as Golf and Tiguan have a similar appearance. Tarok would certainly have to do something innovative and distinctive in order to attract customers.

Modern and Spacious Interior

The upcoming 2022 VW Tarok will probably carry a lot of features from its concept. However, it seems that the current Amarok model would have a significant influence on Tarok’s interior. As previously said, this new pickup will be based on the MQB platform, so we expect a very smooth and quiet ride quality. The cabin design and layout will be identical to that of the Amarok, which means Tarok will have a similar dashboard design.

Tarok will almost definitely have a smaller display as standard, so the concept’s 9.2-inch touchscreen could be available as an option. Volkswagen, however, made no mention of potential cab configurations, standard features, and trim levels.

2022 VW Tarok interior

Possible Engine Lineup

In terms of performance and efficiency, the 2022 VW Tarok will remain a mystery for the time being. In various countries, this pickup truck would have different engine lineups. For example, in South America, the model would be available with both gasoline and diesel powertrains. The base model will be powered by a 1.4-liter gas engine producing 150 horsepower.

Tarok will be available with a diesel engine that produces about 200 horsepower and up to 300 lb-ft of twisting power as an option. Tarok will sell a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline option in the United States. Again, this isn’t official, and we’re waiting for more information from the German automotive brand.

2022 VW Tarok Price, Release Date

The forthcoming 2022 VW Tarok would almost certainly cost around $25,000 or less. The goal is to have a low-cost pickup, and Tarok is an excellent candidate. Sales will begin in early 2022, with more information to follow in the coming months.

The North American market might see another unibody pickup truck in the near future, as the 2021 VW Tarok has been rumored. The small pickup already has a premiere in New York last year and after excellent reception, it looks like the production for this market might start soon. Currently, this pickup truck is available in Brazil. Still, we presume it will be offered in other parts of the world as well.

When it comes to North America, this model definitely has a lot of potentials. While the market is overflowed with traditional body-on-frame pickup trucks, there is just one unibody pickup truck and that’s a pretty large Honda Ridgeline. However, we should mention that the new Hyundai Santa Cruz is expected in the near future as well.

2021 VW Tarok featured

2021 VW Tarok Design

In terms of base design characteristics, the Brazilian-market isn’t much different compared to the model that has been shown at the New York Auto Show. That means we are talking about a unibody pickup truck, which puts focus rather on things like comfort and ride quality that overall capabilities. Therefore, the first thing you should know about this pickup is that it isn’t particularly capable. Due to its design, it definitely can’t compete with BoF pickup trucks, either with Ridgeline, which is much bigger and has a more powerful engine.

This model measures less than 197 inches in overall length. So, it definitely belongs to the class of compact pickup trucks. We expect to see the new Hyundai Santa Cruz in the near future, so these two models would definitely close rivals.

Exterior and Interior

When it comes to the exterior design, the 2021 VW Tarok is a typical Volkswagen. It features a familiar design language and shares a lot of styling solutions with models like Touareg, T-Roc. However, it adds a couple of modern details, which makes it look far more interesting compared to way too conservative majority in the brand’s lineup. The new model should be available in a double cab layout only.

In terms of interior design, there is really nothing to complain about. Even the Brazilian version looks very nice and comes with all kinds of fine materials, as well as with the latest tech goodies. If it comes to North America, we presume the company would make additional upgrades. This refers to higher-quality materials, new color schemes and trims, more standard equipment etc.

2021 VW Tarok Interior

2021 VW Tarok Engine

In Brazil, this small pickup comes in two output variants, one diesel and one gasoline. The standard gasoline model comes with a quite potent 1.4-liter turbo engine, which delivers around 150 horsepower. Typically for this market, the engine can run on ethanol as well. The diesel version comes with a well-known 2.0-liter TDI, which also puts out around 150 horsepower.

Of course, the oil-burner definitely won’t come to North America, while the gasoline unit seems a little bit underpowered. Therefore, the U.S. version would feature something bigger and more powerful. A 2.0-liter turbo-four, which currently powers the compact SUV Tiguan and delivers around 182 horsepower seems like a good pick. Also, this engine comes in pair with a more modern, 8-speed automatic transmission, instead of the current 6-speed unit. Finally, some form of electrification also seems quite possible.

2021 VW Tarok Release Date

At this point, the North American version of 2021 VW Tarok is just a speculation. The company is still considering the possibility to offer this model in the U.S. Still, if we consider the words of the company’s management, chances of seeing this model in this part of the world are really slim. On the other side, the Brazilian version will carry on, while we count on expansion on other markets of the world as well.

Last year, the German carmaker has presented a concept version of a pickup truck for the North American market. These days, we can hear reports that this truck will enter serial production and hit the market as 2021 VW Atlas Tanoak, despite that the company’s officials already stated that such a thing won’t happen.

The new pickup truck would definitely be a great addition to the company’s lineup. With a little bit uncommon approach, it would be a great way to gather more buyers. Still, we presume that the production model will be a little bit different compared to the concept and that we won’t see so many flashy details.

Still, we do expect to see that unibody platform design approach, which brings significant benefits in terms of comfort and driving experience. At this point, we are still waiting for more reliable information, but there are reports that suggest the new model could hit the market already in late 2020 or in the first half of 2021.

 2021 VW Atlas Tanoak

2021 VW Atlas Tanoak Design

When it comes to base design characteristics, things are pretty clear here. The 2021 VW Atlas Tanoak pickup will rather come with a little bit uncommon overall design. While the vast majority of truck makers still prefer classic body-on-frame platforms, this one will come with a unibody layout. Therefore, it’s no wonder that experts already see this model as Ridgeline’s new rival. Honda has been practicing such a design philosophy for more than 15 years and things are actually pretty good.

Compared to BoF truck, the ride is much better, as well as comfort, considering that we are talking about a vehicle that is practically a crossover. Therefore, we expect the same from the 2021 VW Atlas Tanoak. The new model will ride on the company’s proven MQB platform, which underprints almost everything in the brand’s lineup, starting from subcompact Polo and ending with Atlas and other notably bigger models.

Exterior

Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is will the new truck feature the same styling as the concept version. We don’t expect to see so many flashy details, but many styling cues are expected to be seen. A good thing to know is that the facelifted Atlas SUV is on the way. Once we see it without a camo, we will know the look of Tanoak’s front end. On the other side, the overall design will be typically truckish.

The concept version features an 11-inch longer wheelbase compared to the SUV model, which means bigger overall dimensions as well. However, this is still much shorter compared to BoF trucks like Chevy Colorado and Jeep Gladiator, which measure more than 135 inches in wheelbase.

Interior

Although shorter than the aforementioned BoF truck, the 2021 VW Atlas Tanoak interior won’t be smaller. Simply, the company will put the focus on comfort and convenience and compromise with a short bed. That would be the same approach Honda has with Ridgeline. The Ridgeline features around 125 inches in wheelbase but features one of the most spacious and by far the most comfortable cabin in the class.

 2021 VW Atlas Tanoak Interior

In terms of the dashboard design and the overall cabin look, things shouldn’t be much different compared to the SUV sibling. The VW Tanoak Concept may feature a flashy cabin with loads of new features. Still, such an approach doesn’t look particularly production-friendly, especially if the company wants to offer a fairly competitive price. Therefore, we don’t expect bigger changes in this aspect, especially if we consider that Atlas features a pretty nice cabin, with a pretty high overall quality and lots of opulence. We also count on a full load of standard equipment, including the latest tech goodies.

2021 VW Atlas Tanoak Engines

This is the aspect that definitely won’t bring any surprise. The 2021 VW Atlas Tanoak specs are easy to predict, considering that the German manufacturer doesn’t have too much space for maneuvering. The 2021 VW Atlas Tanoak is expected to come standard with a familiar 2.0-liter turbo-four, which is good for about 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Such an amount of power would provide decent dynamics for a daily ride.

Those who prefer something faster and more fun to drive will have the option to pick a 3.6-liter V6. This one is good for about 276 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque.

Both engines feature a pretty decent fuel economy. The turbo-four returns around 22 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. The V6 is good for about 17 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway.

2021 VW Atlas Tanoak Release Date and Price

According to the latest reports, this pickup truck might come already by the end of the year. When it comes to the 2021 VW Atlas Tanoak price, we expect that base models will go around 30.000 dollars.

The German manufacturer needed a whole eternity to develop the current generation of this mid-size pickup truck but it looks like that won’t be the case with the next generation. According to the latest reports, the new version of this pickup truck will come in about two years, most likely in 2021. The interesting thing about the 2021 VW Amarok is that the German manufacturer is starting cooperation with Ford.

This can mean only one thing, a lot of things in common with the next-generation Ranger. The American truck is about to hit the market in the next year. Details are still unavailable, so we will rely on rumors at the moment.

2021 VW Amarok

2021 VW Amarok Redesign

The next generation of this pickup truck is about to come with numerous novelties. As we’ve just mentioned, the new model is about to have a lot of things in common with the next-generation Ford Ranger. This particularly refers to mechanics. So, the new VW Amarok 2021 will ride on an updated version of the T6 platform. The same one that underprints the current-generation Ranger. Still, this update will bring various changes, particularly in terms of the use of lightweight materials, such as aluminum and HSS.

Exterior and Interior Design

While the platform and mechanics are about to be shared with the Ranger, we are pretty sure that the 2021 VW Amarok will come with its own sheet metal. We presume the new truck will be adapted to the band’s newest design language. This would probably mean a lot of similarities with models like the new Atlas, which is also about to come in the form of a pickup truck. In terms of dimensions, we could see big changes.

The current generation measures 121 inches in wheelbase. The current Ranger is notably bigger and features around 127 inches between the axles. Therefore, it’s not hard to presume that the new 2021 VW Amarok will be notably bigger.

2021 VW Amarok Redesign

When it comes to interior design, we can’t say too much at the moment. Still, we may presume that the new model will feature much more space, due to the notable size increase. Of course, we also count on a new layout, as well as on loads of new technologies.

2021 VW Amarok Engines

When it comes to the powertrain, things are a little bit tricky at the moment, considering that it is still unclear whether the 2021 VW Amarok is about to use Ford’s engines, particularly a 2.3-liter EcoBoost with around 270 horsepower. Still, keep in mind that Amarok’s main markets are Europe and Australia, where it’s all about diesel units.

Of course, one of the possibilities is to see Ford’s new 3.0-liter turbodiesel with around 250 horsepower. Still, we believe that VW will rather stick to its TDI V6 engine. It is good for about 255 horsepower and 428 pound-feet of torque.

Another thing we should mention is that the German manufacturer doesn’t plan any kind of electrification, despite many rumors suggest quite the opposite.

2021 VW Amarok Concept

2021 VW Amarok Release Date and Price

According to the latest reports, the new model will hit the market in 2021, according to the latest reports. When it comes to the price, we presume that the 2021 VW Amarok won’t feature bigger changes compared to the current model, which goes around 30.000 Euro in the base version.

VW has recently introduced a new concept truck but unlike the Tanoak, this one actually will enter serial production as well. The 2020 VW Tarok Pickup Truck concept was present in North American at New York Auto Show and we expect that the production model will arrive already in the next year. It will be a pretty compact pickup, designed not just to be capable, but comfortable as well. However, the bad thing is that it won’t be available in the U.S. market, as the company’s spokesman said it is designed for the South American market.

Volkswagen Tarok Concept

2020 VW Tarok Pickup Truck Design

When it comes to base design characteristics, the first thing we should mention is that the new 2020 VW Tarok Pickup Truck will be pretty compact in terms of size. It will measure just over 193 inches in wheelbase. For comparison, the Tacoma is almost 20 inches longer. Also, another thing we should mention is that the new model will ride on a unibody, MQB platform. That means the new truck won’t be very capable in terms of towing. On the other side, it will be comfortable, light and efficient.

In terms of the styling, you can easily notice a lot of elements borrowed from the Tanoak concept. Of course, the cues of the company’s familiar design language are here but upgraded with several details, including all those LED lighting groups. Still, we have to see that the new 2020 Volkswagen Tarok Pickup Truck looks far more production-ready than the Tanoak.

2020 VW Tarok Pickup Truck Release Date

Interior

The 2020 VW Tarok Pickup Truck will be a quite small truck but the company didn’t want to sacrifice comfort. Therefore, we count on a double cab design, which would provide space in both rows of seats. In terms of the cabin design, you can notice a lot of influence from models like VW T-Roc and similar vehicles. The dashboard looks classic but features loads of tech features, including a large digital instrument cluster, known as the Virtual Cockpit.

Given the truck’s size, it’s no wonder that you can’t count on some spectacular bed length. Still, the German carmaker comes with a very smart solution. The bed isn’t separated from the cabin, so once you fold rear seats, you can count on a pretty respectable bed size, which can accommodate large objects as well.

Engine

At this point, we are sure about one engine that is about to come in the new 2020 Tarok Pickup Truck. It is a small 1.4-liter turbo-four gasoline engine, which is good for about 147 horsepower. These aren’t spectacular numbers, but keep in mind that this is a quite small and light truck. If not for any other reason, this is good in terms of fuel economy.

Given the unibody platform, this truck definitely won’t be extremely capable in terms of towing. On the other side, the company promises some pretty impressive numbers when it comes to payload capacity, which will allegedly go up to 2.270 pounds.

2020 VW Tarok Pickup Truck Price

2020 VW Tarok Pickup Truck Release Date and Price

We presume that the production version will be ready pretty soon and that the new 2020 VW Tarok Pickup Truck will hit the market sometime in the next year. When it comes to the price, base models should go slightly under 25.000 dollars.

Two years ago, the German carmaker introduced a three-row crossover designed especially for the North American market, called Atlas. These days, many experts are talking about how the Atlas family is about to expand. We are about to see a couple of new models under this badge, also designed for the U.S. market primarily. You’ve probably already heard about the new Atlas Cross Sport, which will be a sportier, two-row version of the crossover. Also, we are about to see the 2020 VW Atlas Tanoak, a pickup truck based on the mid-size crossover. We expect to see it on the market already in the next year.

The segment of mid-size trucks is becoming more popular these days. As a major carmaker, VW wants its piece of cake. Therefore, we are about to see a VW pickup designed especially for the North American market. When it comes to base 2020 VW Atlas Tanoak specs, the first thing that comes to mind is the platform.

As you may presume, the new model will ride on the same MQB architecture, which makes this vehicle a unibody truck, something we can see on the Honda Ridgeline. Won’t waste too many words on the pros and cons of such a design approach, as you probably know most of them. Simply said, the 2020 VW Atlas Tanoak will be more comfortable and less capable than traditional BoF trucks like Chevy Colorado.

2020 VW Atlas Tanoak Specs

When it comes to 2020 VW Atlas Tanoak specs, we have to say that the new model will be a pretty large truck. The current crossover is already one of the biggest models in the class, but the new truck will get 11 more inches in wheelbase. The overall length will go up to 214 inches, which is two inches more compared to Colorado. Besides large size and, obviously, spacious cabin and cargo bed, the 2020 Volkswagen Atlas Tanoak will be pretty stylish. It will feature the same design language as the original crossover, possibly with additions of new LED headlights and similar details that we already saw on the Cross Sport concept.

Of course, the rest of the vehicle will come in a typical truck manner. Considering the model’s comfort-oriented design approach, we have no doubt that the crew cab will be the only cab design in the offer. The new 2020 VW Atlas Tanoak will be spacious and comfortable, but also very maneuverable and easy to drive.

Powertrain

The engine lineup will probably be the same as in the Atlas crossover. That would mean a familiar 2.0-liter turbo-four in base versions. This engine delivers around 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, which don’t promise to exciting ride but guarantees good mpg ratings. Those who prefer sportier ride will have the option to choose a 3.6-liter V6, which is good for about 276 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. Although driving dynamics are notably better, rivals with six cylinders are still much better, particularly the Ridgeline, which comes with a refined 3.5-liter V6 that is more quieter, more powerful and more efficient.

Both engines will come in pair with 8-speed automatic transmission. Latest reports are also suggesting a plug-in hybrid version for the near future.

Release Date and Price

When it comes to the launch date, the new truck could come already in the next year. The 2020 VW Atlas Tanoak price would probably go around 30.000 dollars.

You probably remember that the development of this truck took plenty of time and resources. The German manufacturer had to put a lot of effort into this model to make it competitive in the segment where you have some pretty amazing models like Toyota Hilux, Nissan Navara, Ford Ranger etc. However, this model never came to North America. These days when the segment of mid-size trucks is getting hot once again, we could finally see it. Latest reports are suggesting it would come as the 2020 VW Amarok.

Although a major carmaker, VW isn’t particularly popular in North America. This model could be a good opportunity to improve the situation. Still, a lot of work has to be done, if Germans want to get closer that already established models in the segment, such as Toyota Tacoma and Chevy Colorado, as well as recently introduced Jeep Gladiator and Ford Ranger models.

2020 VW Amarok

2020 VW Amarok Design

For the U.S. market, the 2020 VW Amarok would definitely have to offer much more in order to make a real breakthrough. At this point, we can only presume that there will be a lot of modification. We probably won’t see a complete redesign, but rather a massive amount of upgrades and changes.

According to some reports, the 2020 VW Amarok USA specs would include novelties in terms of mechanics, styling and interior design. Also, we should see completely new powertrain options.

Some reports are also suggesting one completely different, but very interesting scenario. Yes, we are talking about Atlas-based truck. This would mean a completely different design, maybe even a different nameplate. If this happens, the new model would be in a range with Honda Ridgeline, as a unibody truck, with a focus on comfort and driveability.

Styling

No matter the scenario, we count on a completely new styling. The current Amarok is a decade-old truck, so it definitely doesn’t have a styling that can be considered as attractive by today’s standards, especially if we consider that the model was pretty conservative even at the time it was launched. Therefore, the new styling seems like a certain thing. We presume it will be based on the company’s latest design language, based on the new Atlas, but also on the Alas Tanoak concept, which was presented last year. This concept comes with some pretty futuristic styling elements, so it would be great if we see some of them in the production model.

2020 VW Amarok USA Specs

Another thing we should mention is that the German manufacturer probably won’t offer too many body styles. Most likely, single-row versions won’t be in the offer, no matter the platform. The focus will be on spacious and comfortable cabins. So, a crew cab layout is something we could expect to see.

Interior

This is a very important aspect for sure. If you look at the new Atlas, many critics pointed out that the interior quality isn’t at the level we used from the German carmaker. Also, the current Amarok competes primarily with working machines like Hilux or Ranger, so the cabin layout isn’t particularly attractive. Therefore, we count on something new from the North American 2020 VW Amarok. This would include finer materials, as well as a more attractive dashboard and overall cabin layout. Of course, we expect to see loads of standard features as well, particularly in terms of tech goodies and advanced safety systems.

In terms of the interior space, both international Amarok and Atlas SUV are quite generous, especially if we compare them with rivals. So, we may presume that the new truck would come in the same manner as well. As we already mentioned, single-row versions.

2020 VW Amarok Release Date

2020 VW Amarok Engines

You probably know that the internationally-offered Amarok relies mostly on diesel units. So, the new truck will get a completely new lineup. The infamous TDI units have been banished from the U.S. soil, and also anathematized. So, we definitely won’t see them in this part of the world for a long time, maybe never.

Therefore, the new 2020 VW Amarok will rely on gasoline units. The first one that comes to mind is a familiar 3.6-liter V6, the same one that powers the current Atlas SUV. Moreover, there is a big chance to see some hi-performance version in the offer as well. That could easily be even a 2020 VW Amarok V8 version, with tons of power and focus on performances. Eventually, there is more than enough space for electrification.

On the Australian and European market, this Volkswagen pickup will be offered with two diesel engines. This is 3.0-liter V6 TDI units with 203 hp and with 225 hp.

2020 VW Amarok Release Date and Price

When it comes to the 2020 VW Amarok release date, keep in mind that we are still waiting to hear something from the officials. This model is just a rumor in North Americal. Still, if it ever arrives, we presume that the base 2020 VW Amarok price would go around 25.000 dollars.
