The brand-new 2024 Ram 1500 Revolution has been revealed earlier this week. It is a concept pickup truck that previews the all-electric Ram 1500 model. From what we saw, it is a very innovative truck, with unique features, smart storage solutions, and much more. Of course, some things will remain a mystery, but, we know more than enough at the moment.
We are mostly interested in the truck’s performance, but Ram didn’t reveal exact specs, unfortunately. Anyway, it is a very cool concept, and here is everything we know about the new Ram 1500 Revolution BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle).
Interior Includes 3rd Row of Seats
The cabin is full of surprises. The 2024 Ram 1500 Revolution looks futuristic and very upright. The interior has very pleasant ambient lighting which matches the light signature on the front fascia. The 14.2-inch infotainment touchscreens are available, which look quite impressive. Ram says the truck shows a 360-degree view and the truck is full of driver-assistance aids. Interestingly, the pictures are not showing the information screen and gauge cluster.
The octagonal steering wheel looks weird, but it is a functional unit, no doubt about it. On the other hand, the steering wheel retracts when hands-free autonomous driving is in use. The cabin is 4 inches longer than the regular Ram 1500, and there will be room for six. The vegetarian leather provides a high level of comfort and the large glass roof looks stunning, as you can set the roof’s opacity.
Ram 1500 Revolution Charging Time, Driving Modes, and Range
Right now, we don’t have info regarding the truck’s specs. That includes its power and driving range. However, the 2024 Ram 1500 Revolution will have an 800-volt DC fast charging capability at 350 kW. With this technology, you can charge the truck in ten minutes and give it 100 miles of driving range. Still, the total driving range is not available, but expect good mileage of at least 300 miles.
A pair of electric modules will provide various 4-wheel-steering setups and there are driving modes such as off-road, aero, and ingress/egress. The all-wheel-drive system is available. No doubt, the Ram 1500 Revolution will have great ride quality and lots of power, but we are still waiting for the official specs.
Shadow Mode
We could write for days about the truck’s visual appearance and its unique features. However, one thing about the 2024 Ram 1500 Revolution is very interesting. We are talking about the Shadow Mode. For sure, it will be one of the favorite amenities among the customers.
This mode is using sensors and autonomous driving capability and it follows you. Yes, you read that right. Imagine walking a dog, or simply, the truck will follow you like a shadow. We can’t wait to see how this feature works in reality.
2024 Ram 1500 Revolution Price, Competition
The forthcoming 2024 Ram 1500 Revolution will rival the Ford F-150 Lightning and the upcoming Chevy Silverado EV trucks. However, the price is not available at the moment. Remember, Ford said the price of the Lightning model will start at $40k. However, now the price has risen to $56k. Chevrolet said the Silverado EV will cost around $45,000. The future Ram electric truck could easily exceed both rivals in terms of price, so expect it will cost at least $50,000, if not even more.
