2021 Isuzu D Max Design
In terms of base design characteristics, the new generation of this pickup truck is something completely new. The recent redesign has brought significant changes. There are no more shared mechanics with Chevy Colorado. The current model was built from scratch and several things are very notable. The new model is bigger and comes with some new mechanical characteristics, starting from a locking rear differential. Also, the new model can go deeper through water, while there are several more new features, including hill descent and ascent control and many more.
Still, the most notable changes are those in terms of aesthetics. The previous generations of this pickup were primarily working machines and styling has never been a strong point of this pickup. That completely changed with the recent redesign and the new model is now one of the best-looking mid-size pickup trucks around. As the model is still pretty fresh, we don’t expect to see any particular changes for the next year, though there is always a chance to see new color options and similar things.
Interior
Bigger changes on the inside aren’t expected either. Simply, the last-year redesign has brought revolutionary changes on the inside and the new cabin looks really amazing. It offers great overall quality, comes with an attractive dash and it is equipped with all kinds of tech goodies. For example, a large 9-inch touchscreen is standard, along with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone goodies. Furthermore, you may also count on a digital screen on the instrument cluster, an 8-speaker audio system and many more features.
Besides great overall quality, the cabin is also spacious and offers more space than before. We also like the seats, which are quite massive and supportive.
2021 Isuzu D Max Engines
Under the hood, you may count on a new 3.0-liter turbodiesel. The recent redesign has brought a new engine. A well-known 2.8-liter unit has been upgraded and now features bigger displacement and more power. Speaking of power, it now goes up to 190 horses and 330 pound-feet of torque. These are some pretty respectable numbers for the class. The engine can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission, which sends power to either rear or all wheels. With this engine, you may count on respectable working capabilities, including the max towing rating that goes up to 7.700 pounds.
In some parts of the world, the 2021 Isuzu -Max will also come with a 1.9-liter turbodiesel in the offer. This engine is good for about 150 horsepower.
2021 Isuzu D-Max Release Date
Since there are no bigger changes to come for the next year, we presume that the launch date will be scheduled for the end of 2020. Some of the key competitors are models like Toyota Hilux, Mitsubishi L200, Nissan Navara etc.
