The upcoming 2024 Jeep Gladiator is coming to the dealerships at some point in late 2023. It is a mid-size truck, competing with lots of established trucks. As such, Gladiator needs constant improvements. However, Jeep won’t deliver a redesign yet.
Instead, the next Gladiator will gain minor or mild refreshments only. However, one significant upgrade is on the way. It is a rumored hybrid variant. Like the Wrangler SUV, the Gladiator pickup truck will gain the same 4xe powertrain option. Therefore, the next model will deliver more power and improved efficiency.
Interior Upgrades
Interior design won’t change dramatically. The 2024 Jeep Gladiator is the only one in the mid-size segment with a crew cab setup, and it has one of the largest cabins. Both rows have plenty of room and can comfortably fit five adults. Located behind the seats is a spacious-sized 5-foot cargo bed.
This cabin has a lot of space and is of fairly high quality. The materials quality is also rather high, and the dashboard has a nice aesthetic appeal. The 8.4-inch touchscreen also adds to the dash’s aesthetic appeal, and we really appreciate how simple it is to use. New Gladiator should receive an update on the infotainment system and new driver-assistance aids.
Exterior Facelift
In terms of exterior design, the 2024 Jeep Gladiator will gain a minor facelift. It is still a relatively new model, so there’s no need for dramatic upgrades yet. However, the mid-size segment is stronger than ever before, so a regular mid-cycle facelift is on the way for the Gladiator truck. We expect to see minor changes on the front fascia.
Moreover, the rear section could gain a refresh or two, while the side profile will remain intact. Jeep plans to introduce new exterior colors, which is great to hear. The most recent addition was the High Velocity color. It is a bright yellow paint, but you can also opt for subtle colors such as Hydro Blue, Firecracker Red, or Bright White.
Jeep Gladiator 4xe Specs
The biggest addition could be a hybrid powertrain. Yes, the 2024 Jeep Gladiator 4xe is on the way. Since the Gladiator truck is based on the Wrangler SUV, we expect to see the same powertrain option. It is a system that uses two motors in combination with a turbo-four gas engine and 8-speed TorqueFlite transmission. The Wrangler SUV provides 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque.
Since the Gladiator is a mid-size truck, its 4xe powertrain could gain slightly more power. As for the traditional combustion engines, Gladiator will keep its two options. The base one is a reliable 3.6-liter V6 gasoline variant with 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. Optionally, the EcoDiesel engine is available, developing 260 horses and 442 lb-ft of torque.
2024 Jeep Gladiator Price, Release Date
The price of the forthcoming 2024 Jeep Gladiator will start at around $40,000. On the other hand, Gladiator 4xe is a hybrid variant that will cost between $45k and $50k. The sales will begin later in 2023, most likely next October.
