It is projected that the 2024 GMC Canyon will debut the following year and have various changes over the present model. The new truck will probably be treated similarly to the recently announced Chevrolet Colorado. Numerous parts, including their platforms and powertrains, are the same, so both models will be better than ever before.
Another model we look forward to is the newest AT4X trim level, which mimics the Colorado ZR2. The Canyon AT4X will deploy the same suspension, all-terrain tires, dampers, and more. The ZR2 model, however, offers far greater off-road performance. Here is all we currently know about this model, without further ado. Still, Canyon offers an impressive lineup of trim levels.
GMC Canyon Engine Specs
The future engine lineup on the 2024 GMC Canyon is still a subject of rumors. While some reports imply a new powertrain choice, others speculate that the current engine selection will get stronger. The current standard engine is 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline with 200 horsepower and 191 lb-ft of torque. Additionally, a 308 horsepower V6 engine is available as an option.
Our preferred engine, though, is a 2.8-liter turbodiesel that is available and produces 181 hp and a torque of 369 lb-ft. It is an engine rated at around 7,700 pounds and has the greatest towing capacity. The towing capacity of the standard unit is 3,500 pounds, while the V6 variant can pull up to 7,000 pounds. GMC will still offer a regular 2WD system and an optional 4WD system. The transmission will surely remain, and a hybrid variant will not happen anytime soon, per reports.
Interior Upgrades
We predict the new 2024 GMC Canyon will feature a more pleasant inside compared to the present model. In essence, this model will be more upscale and sophisticated. Additionally, it will include many more advanced features.
A 7-inch infotainment touchscreen, updated phone connections, Bluetooth, and other technological features are included as standard. An 8-inch display, a stronger sound system, extra USB ports, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a wireless charging pad are available as options. Safety should improve as well, and GMC could surprise us with new optional packages or new interior color schemes.
Styling, Spy Shots
The forthcoming 2024 GMC Canyon will seem more stylish and definitely depart from the current generation’s boxy design. The truck’s headlights look to be slimmer than those on the current model, while some leaked photographs show a broader bumper than previously.
The prototype has also been well concealed, so we cannot see any other details. In general, we think that the Canyon model will look closer to the GMC Sierra 1500. A new design will be revealed closer to the launch date.
2024 GMC Canyon Release Date and Price
The next 2024 GMC Canyon pickup will hit the markets at some point in 2023, most likely in the third quarter of the year. The price will probably go up, but not drastically. The new model will cost closer to $30,000, and trim levels with more luxury will cost above $50,000.
On the above statement preferred 2.8 turbo diesel; why not choose the 3.0 LZ0 as the preferred turbo diesel?
Note: I would purchase a 2024 GMC Canyon Denali with the 3.0 LZ0 turbo diesel.
