Chevy Silverado 2500HD Facelift

The forthcoming 2023 Chevy Silverado 2500HD will be significantly more robust than previous generations, making it one of the hardest trucks available. This model has a massive grille with Chevrolet logos all over it. The grilles on several models reach the necks of taller people.

We appreciate the larger corner stairs for easier access to this massive truck. The heavy-duty models have a new DuraBed feature at the back. According to the manufacturer, the long-bed variant has a class-leading 83.4 cubic feet. Towing mirrors and a motorized tailgate have been added as standard features.

Interior Refreshments

The 2023 Chevy Silverado 2500HD will also provide various cabin upgrades. Thanks to that, the interior will be comparable to that of the half-ton 1500 pickup truck. The cabin of this truck can seat up to six people depending on the cab layout. For increased space, a crew cab is preferred over a double cab.

The interior of the Silverado isn’t as technologically equipped as that of the Ram Heavy Duty. Instead of the 12-inch screen used in Ram pickups, it has an 8-inch touchscreen. High Country trim level, on the other hand, includes luxury features such as larger displays and leather upholstery.

Duramax Engine Gets More Power

According to numerous sources, the all-new 2023 Chevy Silverado 2500HD will use the same Duramax diesel. This familiar V8 engine, on the other hand, is estimated to produce 505 horsepower and 1,085 lb-ft of torque. With this enhancement, the Silverado HD and Sierra HD pickups will be at the top of the power rankings in the heavy-duty segment. Similarly, it would be the first full-size diesel pickup truck to achieve 500 horsepower.

The current Ford Super Duty has the greatest horsepower, 475, thanks to its 6.7-liter V8 engine. When it comes to torque, crosstown rival Ram wins with its 6.7-liter Cummins engine, which produces 1,075 lb-ft of twists. If the claim is true, GM will have the most powerful full-size truck on the market. If you didn’t know, the current model is capable of towing around 35,000 pounds. A new one will tow even more. On the other hand, the current gasoline engine will remain standard. It is a 6.6-liter V8 unit developing 400 horses and 465 lb-ft of torque.

2023 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Launch Date, Price

The new 2023 Chevy Silverado 2500HD will now be more expensive than its predecessor. Given the engine upgrades and various external and interior changes, the new model should cost more than $35,000. Sales will start next September, according to multiple reports.

We order a new Chevy Silverado 2500Hd with Standard Cab with Long Bed (Color Red Hot) on March 18, 2022.
The dealership has not received our order. What is taking it so long?

  2. Paul Rapoza says:

I was given an order number for a 2023 Silverado HD WT in green with a reg, cab, 8″ bed and the Alaskan pkg and power folding mirrors were rejected. All the other options were submitted and that was around Thanksgiving 2022.
I guess that means the vehicle order has been submitted but not officially accepted as of today.
Hopefully the order will not be cancelled.
