The forthcoming 2022 Nissan Titan XD is about to introduce its latest upgrades. This model is not as popular as before. Because of that, Nissan will try to improve almost every category, so significant changes are perfectly reasonable. Diesel powertrain is a must for this pickup truck, and it will offer one. Moreover, the manufacturer will deliver another body configuration, besides the crew cab.
Now, the changes are about to happen. The Titan XD the model will introduce exterior redesign. Thanks to that, this truck now looks unique and more attractive. The interior will also host numerous updates and Titan XD will gain more standard features.
2022 Titan XD Redesign
The redesign of the 2022 Nissan Titan XD begins with the brand-new front grille. Moreover, the front sections sport a new bumper and new headlights. The front fascia now looks refreshed and very handsome. Of course, the LED headlights are offered as standard, along with the LED taillights.
To the sides, the lines are more pronounced and Nissan will probably introduce new optional wheels. The rear part also hosts a new bumper and mentioned LED taillights. It is a complete redesign, so we also hope to see new exterior paints and much more.
Interior Updates
On the inside, the new 2022 Nissan Titan XD comes with more quality materials and new high-tech features. As we said, the crew cab body setup is the only choice at the moment. However, a new cab configuration is reportedly in the works. Nissan opted for its Zero Gravity seats so the comfort is admirable. The base trim level will introduce a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen, while the 9-inch display is optional.
The Titan XD offers regular stuff such as Bluetooth, USB ports, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The infotainment system is updated and this truck will provide new safety aids. Unfortunately, we still don’t know the exact cabin design and Nissan is yet to unveil more details.
Diesel Engine Specs
From what we know, new 2022 Nissan Titan XD will arrive with the same 5.6-liter V8 gasoline engine. It is the same engine that you can found in the regular Titan pickup truck and even Armada SUV and Infiniti QX80 model. However, some changes are about to happen. Reportedly, Titan XD will introduce a diesel powertrain option. Some rumors are predicting new twin-turbo V6 engine. However, a 5.0-liter turbodiesel V8 is a more likely outcome.
This engine is capable of producing 330 hp and up to 555 lb-ft of torque. With new diesel engine, Titan XD will provide more power, significantly better towing capacity, and even improved fuel economy. The 2022 Titan XD could also get a new Nismo version. In our opinion, this is less likely to happen, but we’d like to see Titan XD Nismo model with even better performances. On top of that, Nismo adds sportier character, more aggressive styling, and more premium interior design.
2022 Nissan Titan XD Price, Release Date
In terms of price, the upcoming 2022 Nissan Titan XD will cost around $35,000. The changes are significant so the higher price is perfectly reasonable. Electrification is not an option, but mentioned high-performance Nismo variant could happen in the near future. New Titan XD will hit the dealerships in the last quarter of 2021.
