The recent update of Nissan’s full-size SUV has brought a lot of novelties, including notable upgrades for the Pro-4X package. Therefore, we presume that the current generation will remain in production for a couple of more years. This also means that we probably won’t see any bigger changes for the next year. This refers to all models, including the 2021 Nissan Titan Pro-4X. This version will remain the most off-road capable variant of Titan. It comes with significant off-road upgrades, including new suspension, standard all-wheel-drive and similar things.
Still, the 2021 Nissan Titan Pro-4X specs will include not just off-road upgrades, but also a full load of standard equipment, which includes a variety of convenience and tech goodies. Things under the hood will certainly remain the same, as the recent update has brought a slight power boost. We expect to see this version on sale by the end of the year.
2021 Nissan Titan Pro-4X Design
We will start this 2021 Nissan Titan Pro-4X review with the most prominent parts of the truck. Of course, we are talking about all those off-road upgrades that come standard with this version. On the other side, the overall layout is pretty much the same as in other Titan models. You may count on the same overall design, dimensions etc. However, there are some exclusive aesthetical details, starting from a unique grille design, exclusive wheels and similar things.
However, those mechanical upgrades seem far more important in this case. The first thing we should mention is the suspension setup. You can easily notice that this model features higher ground clearance and one of the reasons is the addition of Bilstein off-road shocks. They have a highly positive impact on performance. However, things are that good on the road, as the ride can be pretty bumpy, especially in situations when your cargo bed is completely empty.
When it comes to the rest of the off-road upgrades, some of the highlights are things like electronic locking rear differential, hill descent control, a two-speed transfer case with 4-Hi and 4-Lo, radiator skid plate, spray-in bedliner, LED headlights etc.
One look inside the cabin and you can easily notice that there aren’t too many changes compared to the standard model. This truck isn’t just a capable off-roader but also comes with a well-equipped and comfortable cabin. The 2021 Nissan Titan Pro-4X interior also includes a pretty long list of standard equipment, loads of convenience and tech features. Some of the highlights are a leather-wrapped steering wheel, automatic dual-zone climate control, remote engine start, keyless ignition and entry, front captain’s chairs with a power-adjustable driver’s seat, power-sliding rear window, 9-inch touchscreen display with navigation, extra USB and power ports.
Like any other version of Titan, this one also comes with a couple of optional packages. For example, there is the Pro-4X Convenience package, which brings upgrades like leather upholstery, surround-view parking camera system, power-adjustable front passenger seat, heated seats, power-adjustable and heated steering wheel, driver-seat memory settings etc.
You can also get the Pro-4X Utility package, which consists of various towing and utility goodies. Some of the highlights are things like tow mirrors, trailer brake controller, Class IV receiver hitch and trailer wiring harness, cargo tie-down system, 120-volt power outlet in the bed, rear bumper step, electronically locking tailgate and more.
2021 Nissan Titan Pro-4X Engine
Things under the hood will certainly remain the same. As we’ve just mentioned, the familiar 5.6-liter V8 has recently been upgraded and now features full 400 horsepower. Also, it comes with a new 9-speed automatic transmission. Combined, these two upgrades make the ride much smoother, while dynamics are notably better. Of course, the 4WD layout is standard, while the fuel economy is quite decent for the class. You may count on about 15 mpg in the city and 21 mpg on the highway. When it comes to towing capacity, you may count on about 9.500 pounds with this model.
2021 Nissan Titan Pro-4X Release Date and Price
Given the fact that we won’t see too many changes for the next year, the launch date should be scheduled for a typical time of the year. When it comes to the 2021 Nissan Titan Pro-4X price, the current model starts slightly under 50.000 dollars and we don’t expect bigger changes for the next year.
When it comes to the competition, there are similar off-roaders like Ram Rebel, Chevy Silverado Z71, as well as more capable off-roaders like Toyota Tundra TRD Pro and Ford F-150 Raptor.
