2020 Ram Tradesman Power Wagon Specs and Release Date

After the recent introduction, no one expects to see bigger changes on the 2020 Ram Tradesman Power Wagon. This model seems like a dream truck for many enthusiasts. The truck market is hotter than ever, so each manufacturer offers various versions, which go from traditional bare-bone working machines to super-luxurious trim levels that include leather upholstery, latest tech features and all other kinds of conveniences. Still, one thing has been overlooked so far – off-road-oriented truck. Most of these capable versions are fully-loaded with all kinds of features. 2020 Ram Tradesman Power Wagon Specs

We don’t expect to see any notable change for the second production year. In terms of the base 2020 Ram Tradesman Power Wagon specs, this truck won’t be significantly different from the rest of the HD lineup, at least at the first look. However, there are tons of upgrades under the skin. Just like the Power Wagon trim, it comes with several mechanical upgrades that have a highly positive impact on off-road performances.

Some of the most notable upgrades are things like off-road shock absorbers, tow hooks, skid plates, a manual transfer case, electronically locking front and rear differentials, hill descent control, an integrated front winch, front stabilizer bar, and many more things.

On the other side, this model keeps things simple. Typically for the Tradesman trim level, there is no place for flashy details. This is still primarily a working machine. So, you won’t find all those chrome surfaces, so typical for Ram pickup truck. Practically, the only major visual difference compared to the standard Tradesman is the new set of wheels and more rugged off-road tires.

2020 Ram Tradesman Power Wagon Interior

Things are pretty simple on the inside as well. This model features a typical work-truck cabin layout, so you definitely won’t find any luxury inside. The dashboard looks pretty blend and the first thing that you’ll notice that there is no large touchscreen in this one. The 2020 Tradesman Power Wagon comes rather with a small 5.0-inch touchscreen and even smaller 3.5-inches driver information display.

The whole list of standard features is pretty basic, typical for entry-level models. It includes things like vinyl upholstery, simple 6-speaker audio system, split front bench, simple air conditioning, locking tailgate etc. Crew cab models add a couple of conveniences, such as power windows and power and heated mirrors. Besides the aforementioned 5.0-inch touchscreen, other notable tech goodies are Bluetooth and USB port.

Powertrain

The 2020 Ram Tradesman Power Wagon specs will also remain the same in terms of powertrain. Count on the same 6.4-liter V8 engine, which is good for about 410 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque. Also, there is a new 8-speed automatic transmission, which is definitely a great improvement compared to the previous-generation six-speed gearbox.

Some reports suggest that Ram could also offer a version with a 6.7-liter Cummins turbodiesel. At this point, this is just a rumor. We are still waiting to hear something from the officials on this matter.
