2020 Chevrolet Reaper Price, Specifications and Release Date

The new generation of Silverado is here and since we haven’t seen an off-road version yet, many truckers are turning their heads in the direction of two familiar companies. Of course, we are talking about Southern Comfort Conversions and Lingenfelter Performance Engineering. These two companies are responsible for Chevy Reaper, an ultimate off-roader. Now, we are expecting to see their iteration of the new generation. According to the latest reports, the new truck could arrive already like the 2020 Chevrolet Reaper. Once again, we count on numerous upgrades in various aspects.

2020 Chevrolet Reaper Specifications

2020 Chevrolet Reaper Specs

When it comes to 2020 Chevrolet Reaper specifications, we presume that the company will once again offer upgrades of two familiar V8 engines. As you probably know, the recent redesign didn’t bring changes in terms of engine output. A smaller 5.3-liter unit is still good for about 355 horsepower, while the 6.2-liter engine delivers 420 horsepower. In the previous-generation model, the two companies upgrade these engines significantly. In both cases, these engines come coupled with the large Lingenfelter TVS1900 Magnuson supercharger.

When it comes to the 5.3-liter engine, a max output goes up to 475 horsepower. In the case of the bigger 6.2-liter engine, the max output goes all-away up to 550 horsepower. With such numbers, the Reaper definitely competes with Ford Raptor, which lighter but has 450 horsepower.

Suspension and Off-Road Upgrades

Of course, a more powerful engine won’t mean anything if the suspension setup is about to remain the same. For a great off-roading experience, you need much more than plenty of power. The previous version of this truck came with a significant upgrade. The new Fox shocks have been installed, while the truck has been lifted for about 3 inches. Also, there are off-road tires, skid plates and similar things. We may presume that the 2020 Chevrolet Reaper would come with similar features, as well as some additional upgrades.

2020 Chevrolet Reaper Styling

Of course, we also count on various styling modifications. Just like the previous model, the 2020 Chevrolet Reaper should also come with many changes at the front. The first thing that comes to mind is the hood, which will be bigger and could also affect the look of the grille and headlights. A new grille is also something we expect to see. Naturally, we also count on a new front bumper, which won’t just look attractive but should also come with the design that ensures a better approach angle.

Furthermore, we count on modifications on the sheet metal, particularly in terms of fenders, which should come with more muscles. Naturally, we count on new wheels, as well as with new color options.

2020 Chevrolet Reaper Diese!?

Some reports even suggest a diesel version of 2020 Chevrolet Reaper, as the new Silverado is available with the oil-burner as well. If this happens, we have no doubt that this engine would also undergo significant upgrades, particularly in terms of power. The standard version of the engine is good for about 280 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, so a max output in the upgraded version could easily go over 350 horsepower. Still, this version is just speculation at the moment.

Release Date

When it comes to the 2020 Chevrolet Reaper release date, we expect to see the new off-roader sometime in 2020, probably in the first quarter.

Price and Competition

When it comes to the 2020 Chevrolet Reaper price, it is hard to predict the exact sum at the moment. However, we may presume that base versions will probably go around 50.000 dollars. Naturally, the biggest rival will be Ford F-150 Raptor, but don’t forget Ram Power Wagon and Toyota Tundra TRD Pro, which are also quite capable machines.
