Tesla intends to delay the Cybertruck model until late 2023, according to new rumors. This leads us to the 2024 Tesla Cybertruck, which is surprising. Three years ago, Tesla unveiled the Cybertruck, and Elon Musk promised that manufacturing will start in the latter half of 2021.

Musk previously said that the future car won’t be accessible until the next year because of the Covid-19 outbreak and a lack of electric components, though. In summary, the new Cybertruck will go against forthcoming electric trucks, including Ford F-150 Lightning and Rivian R1T. Naturally, in the upcoming months, Chevrolet and Ram will also release all-electric vehicles.

Tesla Cybertruck Specs: Driving Range, Acceleration, Towing Capacity

The brand-new 2024 Tesla Cybertruck, which has three electric motors is quite an impressive truck. Rear-wheel drive is standard on the single-motor base model, while all-wheel drive is standard on the two- and three-motor models. The new Cybertruck, according to Tesla, can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 6.3 seconds and reach 110 mph with just one motor system.

However, it is claimed that with a dual-motor, it will accelerate to 60 mph in only 4.5 seconds and have a top speed of 120 mph. It is said that the three motors sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds, with a top speed of 130 mph. The most potent version will have a towing capacity of 14,000 pounds and a driving range of 500 miles on a single charge.

Odd Design Won’t Change

Due to its unusual design, the planned 2024 Tesla Cybertruck is a game-changer. This truck seems like it came straight out of a science fiction movie from the 1980s. The stainless steel of the Cybertruck variant is quite stylish. Because why not, the entire body of the car, including the glass, is bulletproof.

This truck will be one of the most capable models ever built. It does appear to be powerful. It’s interesting that Tesla chose the exoskeleton over a typical body-on-frame design. The storage of batteries and other items is one of the benefits. Tesla will not provide any type of paint job, but the stainless steel will also prevent long-term corrosion.

Interior Looks Boring

The future 2024 Tesla Cybertruck will have an interior that resembles the Tesla Model 3 model. As a result, the dashboard is eye-catching and has a sizable touchscreen option. The Cybertruck also comes with a steering wheel that is squared off and has an illuminated display.

The presence of a sizable 17-inch display in the horizontal center of the dashboard may not be present in every version, though. The Tesla Cybertruck has a 100 cubic foot volume and seating for six persons. Last but not least, like previous Tesla models, this truck will have self-driving capabilities and impressive storage solutions.

2024 Tesla Cybertruck Release Date and Price

According to Elon Musk, the new 2024 Tesla Cybertruck will start at $39,900. Models with more motors will cost more, so the most expensive version will surely cost $65,000 at least. As we said, the sales will begin later next year, which is quite disappointing.

The 2023 Tesla Cybertruck is more than a year away. This model should not deliver any major updates, as the Cybertruck is the brand-new nameplate. Interestingly, we still don’t know everything about this innovative truck. And while some things are a complete mystery, we know how much it will cost and how powerful this model actually is. The all-electric pickup truck segment is on fire right now.

The GMC Hummer EV is about to arrive, along with the Ford F-150 Lightning and Rivian R1T models. Many experts believe the 2023 Cybertruck will be the most popular truck in the segment. However, it comes with an odd design, which might be a problem. On the other hand, Cybertruck is full of unique stuff and it provides awesome performances.

2023 Cybertruck Looks Strange Yet Futuristic

Strange, futuristic, edgy, you can label the 2023 Tesla Cybertruck whatever you like. One thing is certain, this model comes with an eye-catching design and it creates a standout on the highways or parking lots. We might argue that the Cybertruck is a big truck with many edges. Tesla aspired to provide something entirely new and succeeded.

Many customers prefer a more classic look and would definitely select GMC Hummer or Rivian R1T over Tesla Cybertruck. On the other hand, Cybertruck has its own benefits. This model includes protected glass and stainless metal. Despite its huge size, Cybertruck is remarkably light. You either like it or you don’t, but you can’t dispute its distinctiveness. The 2023MY could bring minor updates only, as we don’t expect anything significant to change.

Interior Changes are Minor

We might argue the 2023 Tesla Cybertruck has a startling interior design. It provides a simple layout with a limited amount of buttons. On top of that, the steering wheel is quite odd, exactly like the lower dashboard. We do appreciate the big infotainment screen and cabin’s spaciousness. The Cybertruck model offers a space for six people.

The folding front center seat gives even more cabin space and this truck will also provide different smart storage. Tesla delivers a lot of cameras, outstanding safety ratings, and much more. Although Tesla indicated the interior will somewhat differ from the original cabin, we expect relatively modest modifications.

Driving Range, Acceleration

Despite its outstanding features, the upcoming 2023 Tesla Cybertruck is primarily about great performances. Tesla will offer several configurations and everything starts with the single-motor version. This model accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds and it delivers 250 miles of driving range on a single charge. The dual-motor version comes with the standard AWD system and it achieves 60 mph in 4.5 seconds.

On top of that, dual-motor Cybertruck delivers around 300 miles of range. Lastly, there is a three-motor configuration. The most powerful variant sprints from 0 to 60 mph in only 2.9 seconds and has a range of 500 miles. Those are some incredible figures. The base Cybertruck model can pull up to 7,500 pounds. On the other hand, the tri-motor version comes with 14,500 pounds of towing capability. We are still waiting for Tesla to provide more information regarding the performances.

2023 Tesla Cybertruck Price, Release Date

The forthcoming 2023 Tesla Cybertruck will cost $40,000, Elon Musk confirmed. This is an incredibly low starting price for such an amazing model. According to Tesla, this electric pickup truck will enter the showrooms later next year, with minor updates over the arriving 2022MY.

New 2022 Tesla Cybertruck will hit the dealerships later this year. From what we know, the truck is finished with development so the final product is almost here. The all-electric truck segment is becoming hot, with many established manufacturers entering the race. GMC offers a brand-new Hummer EV, while Ford is working on the F-150 Electric variant.

On top of that, Rivian and some other new brands are also going for this growing segment. However, it seems like the Cybertruck model is currently in the lead. The reason is its affordable price, unique design, armored exterior, and much more. Tesla won’t deliver any more changes and all we have to do is wait.

2022 Cybertruck Comes With Futuristic Design

Strange, futuristic, edgy, you can call the 2022 Tesla Cybertruck however you want. One thing is certain, this model comes with an eye-catching appearance and it makes a standout on the roads or parking lots. We could say that the Cybertruck is a large truck with plenty of edges. Tesla wanted to deliver something completely different and succeeded.

We personally prefer a more traditional design and would definitely choose GMC Hummer or Rivian R1T over Tesla Cybertruck. On the other hand, Cybertruck has its own advantages. This model offers armored glass and stainless metal. Despite its large size, Cybertruck is surprisingly light. You either like it or you don’t, but you can’t deny its uniqueness.

2022 Tesla Cybertruck design

Interior Offers Large Screens

We could say the 2022 Tesla Cybertruck offers a shocking interior design. It offers a minimalistic design with a small number of buttons. On top of that, the steering wheel is very strange, just like the lower dashboard. We do like the large infotainment screen and cabin’s spaciousness. The Cybertruck model offers a room for six passengers.

The foldable front middle seat provides even more interior room and this truck will also offer various smart storages. Tesla provides a lot of cameras, amazing safety ratings, and much more. Although Tesla said the interior will slightly depart from the original cabin, we expect very minor changes.

2022 Tesla Cybertruck interior

Three Different Configurations

Despite different impressive features, the 2022 Tesla Cybertruck is all about performance. Tesla will offer different configurations and everything starts with the single-motor variant. This model sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds and it provides 250 miles of range on a single charge. The dual-motor version comes with the standard AWD system and it reaches 60 mph in 4.5 seconds.

On top of that, dual-motor Cybertruck provides 300 miles of range. Lastly, there is a three-motor setup. The most powerful variant accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds and offers a range of 500 miles. The base variant can tow up to 7,500 pounds. On the other hand, the tri-motor Cybertruck comes with 14,500 pounds of towing capacity.

2022 Tesla Cybertruck Launch Date and Cost

According to Tesla, this electric pickup truck will hit the dealerships later in 2021. However, Elon Musk recently said that it would take some luck to be able to deliver the new 2022 Tesla Cybertruck this year. Because of that, the sales will most likely start in the first half of 2022. The price will start at only $40,000 for the base model.

The last year has brought a lot of interesting novelties but the premiere of the 2021 Tesla Pickup was definitely among the biggest ones. The revolution of the pickup truck segment may have already started and there may be some all-electric pickup trucks that are closer to the serial production that this one, but all eyes are still on the Cybertruck.

There are several reasons for that. Aside from the fact that Musk is a marketing genius, this pickup really promises a lot in terms of performances and functionality. Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is astonishing acceleration and impressive range, but we are also about to see things like class-leading towing capacity, spacious and functional interior, long cargo bed and even quite promising off-road capabilities. Moreover, all this is expected to come at a pretty attractive price, so it’s no wonder that expectations from the new 2021 Tesla Pickup Truck are so big.

2021 Tesla Pickup towing capacity

2021 Tesla Pickup Performances

Of course, the first thing that comes to mind about this 2021 Tesla Truck is its drivetrain and performances. Things are pretty clear here, as the company has already announced that we can expect three versions of the pickup truck. These models will mainly differ in terms of the number of electric motors and range.

Base models will feature a single electric motor. The exact numbers in terms of power are still unavailable, but the company claims pretty strong performances already in the base model. This version should be able to hit 60 mph in about 6.5 seconds, while a max range should go around 250 miles.

The mid-range option will feature two electric motors and a max output that will provide 0-60 time in just 4.5 seconds. This is a pretty impressive number, as well as the one that says you may count on more than 300 miles on a single charge.

When it comes to 2021 Tesla Pickup specs for the flagship model with three electric motors, the company claims 0-60 times in less than 3 seconds and a top speed of more than 130 mph. Another impressive thing about this version is that a max range is expected to go more than 500 miles, which sounds unbelievable at this point.

Towing Capacity

Besides excellent acceleration and impressive range, this truck will be capable as well, according to Musk. All three versions will feature respectable numbers when it comes to max towing capacity. The base single-electric-motor model will be able to tow around 7.500 pounds. The mid-range version will feature a max towing capacity of around 10.000 pounds, while the most powerful version should be able to tow more than 14.000 pounds, which is something no internal-combustion light-duty pickup truck can match at the moment. All three models will feature a max payload capacity of around 3.500 pounds.

2021 Tesla Pickup Dimensions

2021 Tesla Pickup Dimensions

Another interesting thing about the new pickup truck is its size. When it comes to 2021 Tesla Pickup dimensions, the new model will be 231.7 inches long, 79.8 inches wide and 75 inches tall. That’s a little bit smaller compared to models like F-150 or Ram 1500, but in terms of functionality and capabilities, this is a genuine full-size pickup truck. It comes with a 6’5” long cargo bed, as well as with two spacious rows of seats, the cabin that is bigger compared to the aforementioned models. The reason lays in the fact that there is no such thing as a long hood and large engine, so the cabin is moved forward.

Another thing we should mention is that the 2021 Tesla Pickup promises a lot when it comes to off-road capabilities. It will feature an adjustable suspension, with up to  16 inches of ground clearance. Also, you may count on a pretty respectable approach and departure angles of 35 and 28 degrees, respectively.

2021 Tesla Pickup Interior

Some call it Spartan, some futuristic, but the fact is that the 2021 Tesla Pickup interior seems even more minimalistic than Tesla models from the current lineup. Typically for the brand, everything is digitalized. There is a huge 17-inch touchscreen, which replaces pretty much all physical controls and definitely seems like the only prominent detail on the dashboard. The rest of it is pretty bland and simple, as well as the whole cabin.

The thing that we like about this pickup truck is that the cabin is very spacious. There are two generous rows of seats with total seating capacity for six passengers. Plenty of legroom, plenty of space for shoulders and it becomes obvious that this refers to six adult passengers.

2021 Tesla Cybertruck Interior

Release Date and Price

According to the latest reports, the new model won’t come that soon. We don’t expect to see it before the second half of next year. When it comes to the 2021 Tesla Pickup price, base single-motor models should go at quite affordable 39.900 dollars. Dual-motor models should go around 49.900, while flagship models should go around 69.900 dollars.

The Tesla Cybertruck has finally been presented and impressions are amazing, at least when we look at the expected numbers. Besides the ultra-distinctive look that finds inspiration in old sci-fi movies, this truck also promises a lot in terms of capability and practicality. Three drivetrain options, impressive max towing capacity, functional cargo bed, and spacious cabin are some of the things we should mention. Also, all of this at a pretty attractive price, which isn’t much higher compared to internal-combustion rivals. According to the latest reports, Tesla Cybertruck will start the production in about a year.

Tesla Cybertruck

Three Electric Motors!

Of course, the most interesting aspect of the Tesla Cybertruck is drivetrain and performances. We are about to see three variants of this truck, with a single, dual and tri-motor layout. Although the exact numbers are still unavailable, even the most basic model will be pretty fast, with the 0-60 time in about 6.5 seconds and a top speed of 110 mph. Also, this version will feature a max range of around 250 miles, which seems quite decent for the entry-level model.

The dual motor version will be notably more capable. Once again, the exact numbers are unavailable, but it looks like this version will need just 4.5 seconds to hit 60 miles per hour, while the top speed will go around 120 mph. Also, count on a range of more than 300 miles.

Finally, there is the tri motor version, which will be a flagship version that accelerates from zero to sixty in less than three seconds. The top speed will go over 130 mph while the max range should be more than 500 miles.

Tesla Cybertruck Towing Capacity

In theory, the Tesla Cybertruck sounds amazing. Not only that it will be faster than any internal-combustion rival, but it will also be able to tow more. According to Musk, base models will feature a max towing capacity of 7.500 pounds, while the dual motor model will be good for about 10.000 pounds. Finally, the tri motor version promises class-leading numbers, as it should be capable of towing more than 14.000 pounds. All models will feature a max payload capacity of 3.500 pounds.

Tesla Cybertruck vs F-150

Tesla Cybertruck Design

Forget about that Tesla Cybertruck armor glass fiasco, the new truck actually features a design that isn’t just amazing in terms of aesthetics, but also offers a high level of practicality and functionality. In terms of size, it stands somewhere between full-size and mid-size pickup trucks. However, if we look at the overall functionality and capacities, this is a genuine full-size pickup. Not only that it can tow more than trucks like F-150, but it also features a more spacious cabin and the same cargo bed size, despite the notably shorter wheelbase. All Tesla Cybertruck models will come with a 6’5” cargo bed, while the cabin comes with two spacious rows of seats and seating capacity for six people.

Another thing we really like about the Tesla Cybertruck is the suspension setup. All models will come with an adjustable air suspension on both axles. Moreover, you can adjust the suspension on the fly, and the truck can go up to  16 inches from the ground.

Interior Design

Tesla models are known for simple cabin designs and the Tesla Cybertruck interior isn’t an exception. The dashboard is extremely simple and it is highlighted by a huge 17-inch touchscreen, which replaces pretty much every physical button.

As we already mentioned, the cabin is also pretty functional. Besides the large Tesla Cybertruck bed, the cabin also offers plenty of space. Six seats and plenty of legroom is something you may count on with this model.

Tesla Cybertruck

Tesla Cybertruck Release Date and Price

When it comes to the Tesla Cybertruck availability, it looks like the new truck will hit the market by the end of next year, as the 2022 year model. In terms of the price, the base single motor version will cost 39.900 dollars. When it comes to dual and tri-motor versions, they will cost around 49.900 and 69.900 dollars, respectively.

It looks like Tesla will once again pioneer the segment. This time, it is about the all-electric pickup truck. At this moment, we don’t have too many details about it. Still, it looks like the company is about to launch it already in the next year. Moreover, the latest reports are suggesting that the premiere could be scheduled already late in this year. No matter when it arrives, its name is still a mystery. Some of the names that are in conversations are Model U, Model P, Model T etc. At this point, we will simply call it 2020 Tesla Electric Pickup Truck.

Most of the details about it are still kept as a secret, but we can make some predictions, based on rumors, speculations and, of course, Elon Musk’s tweets. It looks like the new model will be very competitive. It should be able to deliver better performances than you would expect from a conventional truck.

2020 Tesla Electric Pickup

2020 Tesla Electric Pickup Truck Design

Interestingly, we can easily presume some of the details about the new truck, but base design characteristics are still a mystery. At this point, we can only say for sure that the new model will be a full-size pickup truck and compete with models like F-150, Chevy Silverado, Toyota Tundra etc. Other than that, it’s all about speculations. Considering that this will be a kind of luxury vehicle, we presume that Tesla won’t offer some basic versions, with a regular cab or similar layouts. The new model would come rather as a comfortable and luxurious truck, with the focus both on performances and comfort. Therefore, we count on a very advanced drivetrain setup. This probably means a little bit different setup compared to units we can find in the company’s current lineup.

Drivetrain

Although there is no official information about the powertrain or any other specific details, we can rely on Musk’s tweets and rumors. According to Tesla’s first man, the new model will definitely feature a dual electric motor setup, which clearly indicates AWD layout. Also, we hear that the new model will be very capable. We can even hear talks about 30.000 pounds of max towing ratings or something like that, which is on par with most capable heavy-duty models from Chevy, Ford and Ram.

Besides excellent work characteristics, the new 2020 Tesla Electric Pickup Truck will also be very fast. Elon Musk claims the new truck will be as fast as Porsche 911, at least in a straight line. However, he didn’t precise which 911 version. So, we presume it’s about the base model, which needs around 4.0 seconds to get to 60 miles per hour, which sounds impressive for a pickup truck.

2020 Tesla Electric Pickup name

Of course, such a large vehicle and a huge amount of power and torque would require a large battery pack as well. At this point, we don’t know the exact capacity, but we are pretty sure it will be positioned under the flor, which will also provide a lower center of gravity, which could be highly beneficial in terms of driving characteristics as well.

It is still early to talk about the range, though latest reports suggest the new truck would be able to make between 400 and 500 miles on a single range, which sounds very impressive.

2020 Tesla Electric Pickup Truck Price

According to Elon Musk, the base 2020 Tesla Electric Pickup Truck will go under 49.000 dollars. Compared to conventional trucks, this seems a little bit high. However, if we consider the truck’s expected performances, this model is easily on par with most expensive versions and HD models. Considering that EV technology is still pretty expensive, the logical question that comes to mind is where will Tesla save the money? The answer is super-simple – interior quality.

2020 Tesla Electric Pickup concept

Interior Design

We presume that the company will cut production cost by installing some lower-rent interior materials. After all, that is what Tesla practices in other models as well. Therefore, don’t count on some premium-quality cabin, but rather much closer to the economy class. On the other side, we have no doubt that this won’t be the case with tech features. We are pretty sure that the 2020 Tesla Electric Pickup Truck will come with a full load of the latest technologies, including advanced driver aids as well.

Speaking of technologies, one of the most interesting features should be a dynamic self-leveling suspension.

2020 Tesla Electric Pickup Truck Release Date and Competition

We expect to see 2020 Tesla Electric Pickup Truck sometime in the next year. When it comes to the competition, there are few models that come to our mind.

The first one is definitely the new Rivian RT1, a product from the new Michigan-based company, which is production-ready and can be ordered. This truck features a max towing capacity of 11.000 pounds and a max payload of 1.800 pounds. Starting price goes around 69.000 dollars.
Also, keep in mind that Ford is also developing an all-electric version of the next-generation F-150.
