The heavy-duty segment is more popular than ever before, but the F-250 model is still the class leader in many categories.
From what we know, the engine lineup will remain intact. It is the only reasonable outcome, as the F-250 truck provides a relatively new gasoline V8 and a very reliable turbodiesel engine. On the other hand, Blue Oval could provide more power, although this is just a rumor at the moment.
Ford F-250 Facelift Includes New Colors
As we said, the 2023MY is getting a redesign. Significant changes will include a total revamp. Therefore, we expect a new front fascia, new wheels, taillights, and much more. However, the 2024 Ford F-250 will not be a carryover model. Instead, this heavy-duty model will gain further upgrades. Ford reportedly plans to deliver new exterior colors. Atlas Blue, Lithium Gray, and Carbonized Gray colors will remain, as the three colors are the most recent addition to the color palette.
However, F-250 will expand the choice of available paints. Furthermore, Blue Oval will make each trim level more unique than before. Thanks to that, you’ll be able to set them apart with ease. Lastly, the truck will wear more aluminum, so we expect a slight boost in terms of fuel efficiency.
Blue Cruise System is On the Way
The interior updates are not so major. However, the 2024 Ford F-250 will provide new interior colors schemes. As of now, this heavy-duty model provides Baja, Light Slade, and Navy Pier schemes. We don’t know if Ford plans to drop some of them, or it will only provide additional choices for the customers. Another mystery is the autonomous Blue Cruise technology.
Like the GM’s Super Cruise, Blue Cruise is a hands-free driving system. Most likely, Ford will offer it in the heavy-duty lineup, probably in the range-topping trim levels exclusively. Nothing will change in terms of cabin design, or its layout. Of course, updated infotainment and new high-tech features are on the way.
Engine Specs
The 2024 Ford F-250 will come with a 7.3-liter V8 gasoline engine. It is the most powerful petrol engine in the segment, producing 430 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque. A 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces 385 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque will be dropped, according to the most recent reports. On the other hand, a 6.7-liter V8 turbodiesel engine will remain an option.
The famous Power Stroke engine generates up to 475 horsepower and a torque of around 1050 lb-ft. We don’t know if Ford will provide even more power, but we do know that the 10-speed automatic transmission will be on offer once again.
2024 Ford F-250 Release Date, Price
The price is hard to predict at the moment. The 2023MY is on the way, and we expect a price increase. Moreover, the 2024 Ford F-250 will provide certain updates so the price might go additionally up. As of now, the F-250 truck starts at $36,500. The sales will begin in the summer of 2023, so we are waiting to hear the first official details.
