The forthcoming 2024 Ford F-150 Hybrid will introduce a couple of improvements. However, a major redesign will not happen anytime soon. The hybrid variant looks exactly the same as the regular F-150. Of course, the difference is under the hood, where the hybrid powertrain provides significantly more power than the base F-150 model with a gas engine.
Blue Oval introduced F-150 Hybrid in 2020, and since then, it offers a 3.5-liter V6 engine. The engine comes with a potent 35-kilowatt electric motor and a 1.5-kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The result is improved fuel efficiency and additional power.
The upcoming 2024 Ford F-150 Hybrid is about to receive a mid-cycle facelift. The test mule is still heavily camouflaged and has been seen on the road recently. The fact that the entire front end is covered, including the hood, fenders, and grille, clearly suggests that there have been several changes. This implies that even though the stylistic changes themselves should be quite minimal, we should see a thorough upgrade.
The rear part is also covered in heavy camo, which suggests that something is happening in the back too. A new multifunctional tailgate is a very likely upgrade, although this isn’t official yet. The platform remains, along with the mechanics, but F-150 should receive new packages and new colors.
Like Ram 1500 and Chevrolet Silverado, the next F-150 model will receive interior updates. Some of the updates will be important. The 2024 Ford F-150 Hybrid will gain the same improvements. This suggests that the dashboard may undergo some changes, as well as the addition of new components and color schemes, etc.
Of course, we also anticipate technological innovations, and the majority of sources talk about the new 15.5-inch infotainment screen that debuted in the Ford Expedition SUV. On the other hand, the interior room and its layout are the same. Still, expect a higher level of comfort, improved safety, and more standard features.
Ford F-150 Hybrid MPG, Towing Capacity
From what we know, things under the hood will not change at all. The 2024 Ford F-150 Hybrid continues with a combination of a 3.5-liter turbo-four with a single 35-kilowatt electric motor, resulting in a total output of 430 horsepower and 570 lb-ft of torque. Furthermore, this configuration offers excellent fuel efficiency in addition to good performance. With an average fuel efficiency of 25 miles per gallon in the city and 25 miles per gallon on the highway, it is by far the most fuel-efficient powertrain in the F-150 lineup.
Along with excellent driving characteristics and excellent fuel efficiency, this configuration also offers a decent amount of towing capability. A properly outfitted F-150 Hybrid has a towing capacity of up to 12.500 pounds. The 1.5-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack is doing a good job. On top of that, you can use F-150 hybrid truck as a mobile generator, thanks to its Power Onboard system.
2024 Ford F-150 Hybrid Price and Release Date
The price of the new 2024 Ford F-150 Hybrid will once again start at about $47,000. The price will most likely remain, and this efficient full-size truck will hit the dealerships in the second half of 2023.
