The new 2023 Toyota Tacoma Electric is rumored to be in the works for the next year. Toyota debuted concept images of its next-generation electric vehicles about two months ago. The Tacoma truck, which is a medium-sized model, is one of them. Previously, the company stated that it intends to produce at least 30 electrified vehicles globally by 2030.
Next year, a new version of the Tacoma EV could be offered in the United States. It will appear far superior to the standard version. Except for the blocked-off grille, the styling is remarkably identical to that of the present version. The most interesting aspect of this new truck is that it will be electric rather than gas-powered. We also expect additional upgrades so this could be the best Tacoma so far.
Toyota Tacoma Electric Looks More Futuristic
The 2023 Toyota Tacoma Electric should have a more luxurious and sophisticated appearance. As previously said, Toyota recently released concept images, and the first reactions have been quite encouraging. It appears to have four doors and a crew cab body setup.
The design language remains the same, and the new truck has an appealing blocked-off (closed) grille. This sort of grille is typically found on the front end of any EV. This model appears to be a TRD Pro version because of its small bed and bolder off-road tires. We still don’t have all of the necessary formal information, but we expect a slightly cleaner design and a more futuristic appearance.
Interior Provides Premium Feel
The future 2023 Toyota Tacoma Electric would supposedly have a more upright cabin. It will also have a significantly larger interior than the standard Tacoma. We anticipate that there will be greater space in the back. However, the seating arrangement should remain the same. This means that the Tacoma EV should be able to accommodate four or five passengers.
Many models in the mid-size pickup truck segment will get all-electric variants, so Tacoma will have tough competition. Toyota will give more upright materials, resulting in even greater comfort. In terms of technology, the electric model is likely to have a larger screen than the present 8-inch model. We don’t know which trim levels Toyota plans to offer. However, we expect a higher level of autonomous driving in the upper trim levels.
Performance Rumors
The latest reports are saying that the 2023 Toyota Tacoma Electric will include an electric motor in both the front and rear. We anticipate excellent performance because it will come standard with a four-wheel drive. The truck, like the upcoming Toyota bZ4X SUV, will get a larger battery pack.
The dual-motor layout will almost certainly produce at least 400 horsepower. There will also be a less-priced two-wheel-drive model with around 215 hp. We don’t know how powerful this vehicle will be because it isn’t official yet. In any case, Tacoma Electric has enormous potential and will undoubtedly dominate the mid-size truck segment in the next years.
2023 Toyota Tacoma Electric Price, Release Date
We expect the 2023 Toyota Tacoma Electric will debut later in 2022, with the official sales beginning in the first quarter of 2023. The price is not official, but many experts are predicting a starting price of around $50,000.
