The forthcoming 2023 GMC Sierra AT4X, which will go on sale sometime next year, is the company’s latest off-road variant, and it appears to be more aggressive than the standard Sierra. This model, as far as we know, will be mechanically identical to the Chevy Silverado ZR2. It has a recognizable V8 engine and a ten-speed transmission. It does, however, include some stuff not found on the ZR2.
Furthermore, the interior of the AT4X is fairly luxurious, matching the well-known Denali trim level. The interior is enhanced with soft leather upholstery, a larger touchscreen option, and enhanced safety amenities. Sales will start in the second half of next year and this is what we know so far about this stunning model.
GMC Sierra AT4X Looks More Aggressive
The upcoming 2023 GMC Sierra AT4X is more appealing than the ordinary model due to various modifications. This model represents the peak of GMC’s lineup, rating higher than the previous GMC Sierra AT4. It has a huge grille, eye-catching headlights, and black 18-inch wheels.
This variant will also incorporate rock protectors and all-new dampers. We noted that the dampers on the Colorado ZR2 and Silverado ZR2 were identical. Furthermore, these dampers incorporate separate springs, which jointly boost the maximum travel of the front suspension. AT4X is a more off-road-oriented variant than the Sierra AT4 trim level.
Interior Full of Luxury
The cabin of the 2023 GMC Sierra AT4X is both modern and large. The new trim level will have the same “Obsidian Rush” interior décor as the Denali trim. Excellent leather upholstery with a white accent and red contrast stitching provides unparalleled comfort. According to what we know, the AT4X will have the same luxury features as the Denali trim level.
However, the new Denali Ultimate variant will be the range-topping trim level from now on. The sumptuous leather is accented by nice ash wood trims, and the front seats are 16-way power-adjustable and massaging. A 15-inch touchscreen and a fantastic Bose sound system are also included as standard.
Performance and Capability
The 2023 GMC Sierra AT4X is an off-road pickup based on the Chevy Silverado ZR2. It is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 petrol engine that generates 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. This engine is coupled with a smooth 10-speed transmission and a two-speed transfer case. GMC also promotes the vehicle’s numerous driving modes, which include a Terrain Mode for rock crawling.
The AT4X features a unique chassis and enhanced suspension in addition to the electronic locking differentials in the front and rear. The payload capacity of the vehicle is 1,430 pounds, while the trailering capability is around 9,000 pounds. In general, the AT4X will undoubtedly become one of the pickup truck segment’s most capable off-roaders.

The approaching 2023 GMC Sierra AT4X model will hit the dealerships in the second half of 2022. Besides the AT4X model, the manufacturer will also introduce a new Denali Ultimate trim level.
