The medium-duty segment will continue to offer reliable and proven models. One such model is the 2023 Ford F-750. The upcoming truck gets the job done, offering a class-exclusive gasoline engine. It is a 7.3-liter V8 engine, providing great towing capacity. On top of that, this truck will continue to offer a diesel engine.
This turbodiesel powertrain provides even great performances. Blue Oval will build the F-750 model at Ohio Assembly Plant in Avon Lake. Reportedly, the new model will gain mild upgrades and it will continue to dominate the medium-duty segment, along with the Ford F-650 model. With that being said, here’s everything you need to know about this truck.
Gasoline Engine Specs
As we said, the 2023 Ford F-750 model will offer a standard 7.3-liter V8 engine. It is a gas engine, capable of producing 335 horsepower and 3,750 rpm. At the same rpm, it also provides 468 lb-ft of torque. As it is the largest engine in the segment, it also comes with an overhead valve system. This architecture allows the engine to generate power in the rev range.
Thanks to that, it can carry or pull heavy loads with ease. There is also a forged steel crankshaft, for improved durability. From what we know, this unit will get an even better cooling system. This gasoline engine has a GVW rating of 22,000 or 26,000 pounds. On the other hand, the maximum rating is 37,000 pounds.
Ford F-750 Diesel Engine Specs
The new 2023 Ford F-750 model also comes with an optional turbodiesel powertrain option. It is a 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 variant. This diesel engine will develop up to 330 hp and 750 lb-ft of torque. It is an improvement over the outgoing model.
Both the gasoline and diesel engines are available with the reliable TorShift HD 6-speed automatic transmission. As for the diesel, it is a more potent engine. Therefore, it has a maximum GVW rating of 50,000 pounds. Blue Oval manufacturer will also deliver improved air brakes, air suspension, and much more.
Changes and Upgrades
From what we know, the new 2023 Ford F-750 will introduce mid-cycle refreshments. We don’t expect a major overhaul at the moment, so mild updates are perfectly reasonable. On the other hand, we don’t have the list of changes as of yet. However, this model will most likely get a nice exterior facelift, along with new high-tech features inside the cabin.
As before, you can choose between three cab setups: regular cab, super cab, and crew cab. Safety should be improved as well, which is equally important. Ford will reveal more details in the coming weeks, and we hope to see at least one big surprise.
2023 Ford F-750 Release Date, Price
The price of the 2023 Ford F-750 will start at $66,500 and it will move up to $77,000. Interestingly, Blue Oval automaker filed to trademark the F-750 model in Mexico.
