The upcoming 2023 Chevrolet Silverado EV will debut at some point this year. However, sales should commence later in 2022. According to the latest information, this truck will arrive with a stunning fixed-glass roof. The Silverado electric will rival the new Ford F-150 Lightning and Ram 1500 EV will also join the race. Although the electric powertrain in the new pickup truck is identical to the GMC Hummer EV, the battery in the new truck should be larger. The Silverado EV, according to Chevrolet, will have a range of around 400 miles on a single charge.
On top of that, this truck will provide a three-motor setup, but only in the range-topping trim levels. The AWD system will come as standard and we are waiting to hear more official details. The new model will be manufactured at the same factory as the Hummer EV. With the Ram 1500 EV coming to the markets, Silverado EV will also rival Tesla Cybertruck and Rivian R1T.
Premium Exterior Design
The new 2023 Chevrolet Silverado EV will be a completely new pickup truck. The electric vehicle will be based on General Motors’ latest all-electric Ultium Platform, which is also used in the Hummer EV, according to existing information. The first renderings are here, and we love the new look. To begin, the front fascia has been entirely redesigned, with a closed massive grille, appealing headlights, and a significantly more robust hood.
In addition, we noticed a blue Chevrolet emblem in the lower half of the grille and a more angular side profile. Naturally, Chevy will provide new side steps and new wheels as well. The Silverado EV will not be as luxurious as the Hummer EV model, but it will be a very modern truck with so much to offer. Of course, the range-topping trim level will surely deliver real luxury.
Chevrolet Silverado EV Interior
The forthcoming 2023 Chevrolet Silverado EV’s interior will likely be more attractive than the conventional model. Unfortunately, no image is available to confirm this. We expect this model to have the same seating layout as the outgoing model, but with a higher level of comfort.
Furthermore, Chevy will almost definitely include a new infotainment display as well as a host of other conveniences. Many people believe it will have the same-sized display as the present Ram 1500. Regardless, Chevrolet’s interior redesign will include a plethora of standard amenities, while some new premium features will be standard in the upper trim levels.
400 Miles of Driving Range on a Single Charge
The 2023 Chevrolet Silverado EV and GMC Hummer EV will share the same architecture. This also means it’s quite likely that they’ll also share a powertrain. That means, depending on the trim level, we can expect the EV truck to have one, two, or three electric motors.
A minimum of 1000 horsepower will be available in the most powerful variant. The AWD should be standard, and a 200-kWh battery pack is expected too. The Silverado EV, according to Chevrolet, will have a range of roughly 400 miles on a single charge. Anyway, Chevy will provide more details in the coming weeks.
2023 Chevrolet Silverado EV Price and Release Date
The 2023 Chevrolet Silverado EV will go on sale in the coming months. Along with a more elegant design language than before, we may expect a more pleasant interior. Chevrolet has not officially announced pricing or trim levels, but we were able to find some information.
The model with a single motor and a standard equipment package is expected to start at $50,000, according to various estimates. Adding two or three motors, of course, raises the price.
