After over a decade of development, Nissan unveiled the third-generation Frontier. The new 2023 Nissan Frontier looks good and is likely to be improved. It’s expected to debut next year, with a body style from the early 2000s.
Nissan claims the new Frontier’s suspension will be noticeably better than the old one. The selection of high-quality materials also makes the cabin appear more modern. The new Frontier will have a 310-hp V6 engine, a nine-speed automatic transmission, and rear- or four-wheel drive.
Reliable V6 Gasoline Engine Remains
The 3.8-liter naturally-aspirated V6 with 310 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque will be carried over to the 2023 Nissan Frontier. It has a nine-speed automatic transmission. On top of that, it also has rear-wheel drive as standard, with four-wheel drive system as an option.
The V6 gasoline engine can tow over 7,000 pounds, according to Nissan. The prior generation’s data is also presented. But it lacks competition like the GMC Canyon and Chevrolet Colorado. Performance will not improve as a result.
Exterior Redesign
The forthcoming 2023 Nissan Frontier sports a brand-new design. This mid-size pickup truck is one of the class’s most powerful and appealing trucks. Its new body is based on the original Nissan Hardbody Desert Runner design. On this model, a massive grille is flanked by gorgeous headlamps and a standard skid plate.
With high fenders and huge tires, the new car appears off-road competent. We’ve learnt it will use the same chassis as its predecessor, so no hybrid powertrain is expected. Nissan has Pro-X and Pro-4X models. These two Frontier variants are better off-roaders and look sportier as well.
Interior Looks More Upright
A considerable boost over the previous model, the new 2023 Nissan Frontier looks excellent inside. It now offers better quality and more advanced technology. The cabin features a new instrument cluster and an 8-inch touchscreen as standard. On top of that, upper trim levels have a 9-inch display.
There’s also basic connection like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Nissan also supplies USB-C charging ports. The Frontier may be upgraded with a Fender nine-speaker sound system. We don’t know all of the upgrades, but we expect to see more surprises from Nissan.
2023 Nissan Frontier Launch Date & Price
The all-new 2023 Nissan Frontier will probably arrive later next year. Most likely, the mid-size pickup truck will arrive around early fall. The competitors include the GMC Canyon, Jeep Gladiator and Chevrolet Colorado models. Sadly, we do not know the price of this model. According to the latest reports, new Frontier will once again cost under $30,000.
